Abstract
The application of a human resource management system has improved organizational performance in delivering their frontline service. This study analyzed the existing human resource management process of Kalinga State University to identify the issues and concerns arising from their manual process. Through this gap, the study designed, developed, and implemented a Human Resource Management System to address such. The study employed a software development lifecycle as its research design to provide a detailed and accurate development of the system in aligning the existing HR processes with the university’s strategic objectives. The findings of the study showed that there is a significant difference between the use of the manual HR process and the human resource management system. The study employed a survey questionnaire to evaluate the system, and the data gathered were treated using descriptive statistics. To determine the degree of compliance with standards, the study utilized the IS0 25010 Software Quality Standards. The development of the HRMS has indeed resulted in a significant improvement in the university HR process. This suggests that the HRM addressed inefficiency previously identified in the manual HR process.References
