Abstract
The study aimed to examine the levels of depression, anxiety, and stress among senior high school students at Rizal National School of Arts and Trades (RNSAT) and their coping strategies. Using a descriptive research design, 219 students were surveyed with the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and the Proactive Coping Inventory. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics. Results showed moderate levels of depression, severe anxiety, and mild stress among respondents. Proactive coping strategies were commonly used, with avoidance strategies being the least utilized. Differences in coping strategies were found based on grade level and academic strands. A positive correlation between depression, anxiety, stress, and proactive coping strategies was observed. The findings indicate that anxiety is the most prevalent issue, and proactive coping strategies are commonly employed. The study recommends institutions implement support programs focusing on anxiety management techniques such as mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Additionally, workshops promoting proactive coping should be conducted, and specialized treatments should address the needs of demographic subgroups. Incorporating coping skills into curricula and establishing peer support networks are also suggested to enhance student well-being.References
