Abstract

This study, employing a robust descriptive correlational research design, has provided valuable insights. It has identified the profiles of the respondents, particularly their work-related quality of life, evaluated the relationship between variables as perceived by guidance practitioners, and determined significant variations in the perceived work-related quality of life among different groups of respondents. The research has revealed that demographic factors such as age, civil status, level of school assignment, type of school assignment, number of cases handled per week, and length of service significantly influence the respondents' work-related quality of life, especially in terms of home-work interface, job and career satisfaction, and control at work. The number of cases handled per week has also been found to impact the respondents' work-related quality of life significantly. These findings hold immense potential to inform the design and implementation of targeted interventions, training programs, and support systems. The ultimate goal is to enhance practitioners' well-being and effectiveness in their critical role of supporting students' emotional and psychological needs and to create a work environment that promotes the well-being of guidance practitioners, enables them to manage work-related quality of life effectively, and ensures they can continue providing high-quality support to their students.
