Abstract
This study addresses the gap in the limited research exploring the relationship between school heads' authentic leadership, teachers' work engagement, and the overall school climate. Employing a mixed method design and using 28 school heads and 256 elementary teachers in the Schools Division of Tuguegarao City, the study revealed that the elementary school heads are genuine, transparent, and self-aware leaders. Teachers under their leadership are involved, committed, and enthusiastic in their teaching responsibilities. The schools they manage also provide a positive environment, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere and a healthy school culture. School heads who are older, receive a middle salary range, and manage mega schools have higher authentic leadership as compared to their counterparts. Significantly, authentic leadership by itself does not directly impact teacher engagement. However, authentic leadership positively influences a school's physical environment, decision-making processes, and interpersonal interactions, fostering a more positive learning atmosphere and enhancing the emotional well-being of all stakeholders.References
