Abstract

The study examines the effectiveness of various online learning platforms among working students enrolled in business classes, with the goal of applying their learning in real business settings in the Philippines, highlighting how these platforms contribute to the development of practical skills. With an overall weighted mean of 3.82, respondents rated the effectiveness of learning formats, with synchronous (3.91) and blended (3.95) learning receiving the highest scores, highlighting the importance of real-time interaction and structured environments. Regression analysis indicated a weak correlation between online learning participation and practical skill development (Multiple R = 0.16; R² = 0.03), suggesting that other factors may play a significant role in skill enhancement. The study reveals the influence of age, education level, and employment status on platform preferences, illustrating a nuanced relationship between learning modes and skill acquisition. Recommendations are provided to enhance the online learning experience for working students, with a focus on flexibility, technical support, and opportunities for peer engagement.
