Abstract

This study assessed the level of awareness, degree of acceptability, and relevance of the Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGOs) of the Food Innovation Centers (FICs) in the Philippines. Using a descriptive-survey research design, data were collected from 55 administrators and staff members at active, functional Food Innovation Centers across the country via a structured questionnaire. Frequency counts, percentages, means, and standard deviations were utilized to analyze the data. Results revealed that most respondents were young professionals aged 26–30 years and predominantly female. Findings showed that respondents were very much aware of the VMGOs, particularly the Vision and Mission (M = 4.58 and M = 4.73, respectively). The VMGOs were also generally accepted, with overall ratings ranging from "Much Accepted" to "Very Much Accepted". Furthermore, respondents perceived the VMGOs as very much relevant to the centers’ mandate, with relevance ratings ranging from Much Relevant to Very Much Relevant. The findings indicate that the Food Innovation Centers possess a strong foundation of organizational awareness, stakeholder acceptance, and strategic relevance, which may contribute to organizational alignment, effective service delivery, and the successful implementation of innovation-driven programs. Strengthening stakeholder participation in the periodic review and dissemination of the VMGOs may further enhance organizational commitment and institutional effectiveness.
