Abstract
The increasing integration of robotics into STEM education has created a growing need for efficient systems that can manage and monitor robotics hardware resources in educational institutions. At the University of Saint Louis (USL) Tuguegarao, the Basic Education Robotics Program uses various robotics kits and components to support experiential learning; however, the existing manual monitoring process has led to inefficiencies, inaccurate inventory records, reporting delays, and increased administrative workload for robotics instructors. This study aimed to design and develop a Robotics Hardware Monitoring System to automate inventory management, hardware tracking, maintenance monitoring, and report generation. The study employed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model, incorporating requirement analysis, system design, iterative development, testing, and deployment. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and survey questionnaires administered to robotics teachers and laboratory personnel. The developed system was evaluated using the ISO/IEC 25010 software quality standards, specifically functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability. Findings revealed that respondents strongly agreed that the existing manual system was inefficient (overall mean = 4.83), highlighting the need for an automated solution. Evaluation results further showed that the developed system achieved a very high level of compliance with ISO/IEC 25010 standards (overall mean = 4.55), indicating excellent software quality and user acceptability. The system improved inventory accuracy, enhanced accountability, streamlined hardware monitoring processes, and reduced administrative burden among instructors. The study concludes that the Robotics Hardware Monitoring System is a reliable and effective tool for managing robotics resources and can significantly contribute to the efficient implementation of robotics education programs in basic education institutions.
